Seasonal positions for the Summer of 2012
Dockhand – Reservationist – Launch Driver
Required:
-
Self-motivated
-
Possess excellent interpersonal skills when working with the public and coworkers

Be flexible with hours including evenings and weekends
-
Commit to working the majority of the season; mid-June through mid-September

Be able to lift at least 20 lbs

Be comfortable working in the sun and heat for long periods

Possess basic computer and phone skills
-
Reservationist position requires good organization and problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, good computer knowledge and communication skills over the phone and radio

Launch Driver applicant must possess exemplary boat handling skills and at the minimum, a current USCG Launch Operator’s License as well as a current TWIC card. Launch drivers are required to pass a drug test and participate in a random drug testing program though out the season.

All positions are flexible with job assignments including, but not limited to: cleaning boats and restrooms, toting luggage and supplies for customers, tying & fueling boats, parking cars, walking grounds, hauling and pumping dinghy’s, taking phone calls and reservations, pumping fuel and waste water

- Previous boating/sailing experience
Full-time Positions
Marine Mechanic - Wayfarer is looking for a full-time marine mechanic. Successful applicant will be flexible and be able to perform a broad range of functions such as troubleshooting, decommissioning, commissioning. Successful candidate will also be capable of installing new equipment such as engines, thrusters, injectors, battery monitoring systems, etc . ABYC certification, electrical or refrigeration skills would be a plus. Wayfarer performs both routine service work and refits so there is a broad spectrum of work performed. Full health benefits and paid vacation are available after three months of service and 401K after one year.
Marine Fiberglass Technician - Wayfarer is looking for a full-time fiberglass technician to join our crew. Successful applicant will be self-motivated and experienced in all facets of fiberglass and carbon fiber repair, must have the ability to read plans and work independently. A minimum of five years experience in the trade preferred. Full health benefits and paid vacation are available after three months of service and 401K after one year.
Marine Painter - Wayfarer is looking for a full-time marine painter to join our crew. Successful applicant will be self-motivated and experienced in all facets of marine paint applications, including spray and brush finish, and have the ability to work independently. Gel coat experience preferred. A minimum of five years experience in the trade preferred. Full health benefits and paid vacation are available after three months of service and 401K after one year.
