Seasonal Reservationist – Camden Maine Location

Lyman-Morse is looking for a reservationist to join our seasonal crew. This position includes taking reservations for boats, tracking and receiving payment for services, purchases, dockage and moorings. Successful applicants will be computer literate and possess excellent interpersonal skills when working with the public. Applicants must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task. In addition, applicants must demonstrate good speaking etiquette on the telephone and VHF radio. Knowledge of boating is helpful.

Seasonal Launch Driver – Camden Maine Location

Lyman-Morse is looking for a seasonal launch driver. Applicants must possess exemplary boat handling skills and at the minimum, a current USCG Launch Operator’s License. Launch drivers are required to pass a drug test and participate in a random drug testing program throughout the season. Successful applicants must possess excellent interpersonal skills when working with the public and demonstrate proper VHF radio etiquette. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and commit to the season in its entirety.

Project Manager/Estimator - Thomaston Maine Location

Lyman Morse Fabrication has a position available for a Project Manager/Estimator.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assisting manager with proposals and bids for new projects
  • Perform site visits and take accurate measurements of proposed projects for estimating
  • Communicating with customers, project managers and other employees
  • Assist with quality control of projects in process

Required experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication
  • Previous experience in project management and estimating
  • Reading architectural, shop and machine drawings
  • Familiar with software systems including AutoCAD, Rhino, Excel, Word and use of email, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to use mathematics, including trigonometry and pi for calculations and layout purposes
  • Work in a fast paced setting and in many different work environments

Desired knowledge:

  • Boating and yacht construction
  • Understanding of AWS code
  • Previous work with exotic metals fabrication (aluminum, stainless, bronze, titanium, etc.)

Yard Crew - Thomaston Maine Location

Lyman Morse Boatbuilding is looking for a person to work in our yard crew. Work consists of hauling, launching and moving boats. Must be able to lift wood blocking and boat stands. Operation of forklifts, cranes and other machinery a plus. Benefits include vacation time, health insurance and 401K.

Marine Draftsman - Thomaston Maine Location

Lyman Morse Boatbuilding is looking for a skilled marine draftsman to join its expanding design department. Five years of experience required. Must be proficient drawing with AutoCAD and modeling with SolidWorks. Knowledge working with Rhino and MicroStation a plus. Applicant should also have practical sailing and boating experience. Marine Systems Technician - Camden and Thomaston Maine Locations

Looking for someone with experience in all phases of plumbing & electrical systems as well as diesel & gas engines. ABYC Certification a plus. Benefits include vacation time, health insurance and 401K.
